Announcing The Society of Sin's Newest Summer Show: A Midsummer Night's Wet Dream!
Yes, you read that correctly, The Society of Sin is rolling out a brand new burlesque show this summer in New Orleans, and it's Shakespeare!
A Midsummer Night's Wet Dream is a New Orleans-style burlesque remix of Shakespeare's timeless comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Written and directed by Xena Zeit-Geist, the show is a full-length play with sexy stripteases embedded in the salacious plot. That's right, we somehow managed to make Shakespeare even dirtier.
Wet Dream will open at The Shadowbox Theatre the last weekend in July and stars many Society of Sin favorites. The cast is as follows: Vincent Gallant as Puck, Baron Reinhardt as Egeus & Oberon, Persé Fanny as Nick Bottom, Xena Zeit-Geist as Titania & Peter Quince, Remy Dee as Lysander, Dr. Strangelove as Demetrius, Melody Thick as Helena, Cherry Bombshell as Hermia & Francis Flute, and performing with the Society of Sin for the very first time, Roux La La as Snug & Peaseblossom.
If you thought Shakespeare was boring in high school, come on down to The Shadowbox this summer, and we promise we'll change your mind.
