The Society of Sin Brings “Blood & Glitter” to the Harrah’s New Orleans Stage
NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 23, 2018 – New Orleans-based burlesque and variety troupe The Society of Sin will resurrect a host of horror icons from popular culture for a haunting night of striptease.
Produced by Xena Zeit-Geist, the troupe’s founder and artistic director, the annual "Blood & Glitter Burlesque Spookshow" will run for one night only on Sunday, Oct. 28, at The Theater at Harrah's Casino New Orleans (8 Canal St.). The event will offer two showings—one at 7 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.) and the other at 11 p.m. (doors at 10:30 p.m.).
“This show is quintessential for lovers of the horror genre and anyone looking to make this year’s Halloween experience one to remember,” said Zeit-Geist. “Burlesque and Halloween are two of the things this city does best, so expect over-the-top costumes, creative performances and magic that only New Orleans can deliver.”
The hellraising revue will present thrilling performances inspired by the celluloid screams of both horror film classics, like The Invisible Man, and frightening modern favorites, like The Ring. With additional nods to “The Addams Family” and “Silent Hill,” the spookshow will also pay tribute to the genre’s impact on television and video games.
Hosted by Gogo McGregor, the show will feature acts by Lune Noirr, Juno Bilquis, Clay Mazing, Ariana Amour, Anjle, Chère Noble, Phoenix Rose, Darling Darla James, Expecta Patrone and Xena Zeit-Geist.
On sale now, general admission tickets are selling for $10 in advance or $15 at the door. In addition to private booth and deluxe seating options, VIP tickets are also available for $32 in advance or $40 at the door.
